| Directions | Use as recommended by physician. Flush bulb and pipe thoroughly with water before each use. Fill enema bulb with warm water or physician recommended enema solution. Insert enema pipe into bulb making sure the open ended nozzle is upright. Apply lubricating jelly to enema pipe. Expel air from pipe by squeezing bulb. Positions: (A) To use in bathtub, recline in tub with knees drawn up or to the side. (B) To use on toilet, sit on toilet and lean forward slightly. While maintaining one of the positions indicated, insert lubricated enema pipe into rectum and squeeze bulb slowly and gently. If resistance occurs, pause momentarily and gently continue. NOTE: If bowels are not loosened, repeat in 15-20 minutes. An enema is not always expelled immediately. Retention enema - Follow your physician's instructions. Cleaning and Storage: Separate enema pipe from bulb. Wash both parts thoroughly in warm soapy water. Rinse bulb and pipe several times, squeeze out excess water and air dry. |
